MANAGUA, NICARAGUA – A pocos días de las elecciones del 7 de noviembre en Nicaragua, las principales plataformas de medios sociales censuraron a los principales medios de comunicación nicaragüenses y a cientos de periodistas y activistas que apoyan al gobierno sandinista de izquierda de su país.

La campaña de censura de Silicon Valley, motivada políticamente, supuso una purga masiva de simpatizantes sandinistas una semana antes de la votación. Siguió a los ataques del gobierno estadounidense contra la integridad de las elecciones de Nicaragua, y a la insistencia de Washington en negarse a reconocer los resultados.

Estados Unidos patrocinó un intento de golpe de Estado sádicamente violento en Nicaragua en 2018, que se saldó con cientos de muertos en un esfuerzo desesperado por derrocar al gobierno democráticamente elegido del presidente Daniel Ortega.

Desde el fracaso del golpe, tanto el gobierno de Donald Trump como el de Joe Biden han impuesto varias rondas de sanciones devastadoras a Nicaragua. El Congreso de Estados Unidos tiene previsto imponer nuevas sanciones de mano dura contra Nicaragua tras las elecciones del 7 de noviembre.

On November 16, 2018, the coaches of the first edition of La voz Senior 2019 were announced. The format was hosted by Eva González, and the coaches who trained the participants were David Bisbal, Pablo López, Paulina Rubio and Antonio Orozco,[1] who were advised by Tomatito, David Bustamante, Antonio Carmona and José Mercé.[2][3]

On November 13, 2019, the 4 coaches of La voz Senior 2020 were confirmed. In this second edition, only Antonio Orozco continued as coach, joined by David Bustamante, Pastora Soler and Rosana.[4] The advisors of this edition were Pitingo, David de María, Álex Ubago and Cami.

The four coaches will have their backs to each participant and will be guided only by their voice. If the coaches like the participant’s voice, they will press a button («Quiero tu voz») that will turn their chair in front of the participant, to finally meet him/her and indicate that the participant has been selected. If more than one coach presses the button, the participant will have the option to decide with which of the coaches he/she wants to train in this competition, but if only one coach presses the button, the participant automatically goes to his/her team. If none of the coaches presses the button, the participant is eliminated.
